These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a contract between you and GlobeTravi ("we", "us", or "our") that governs your use of the GlobeTravi mobile app and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1 What GlobeTravi does
GlobeTravi is a travel companion app that helps you organise trips, import booking confirmations, track expenses, and discover things to do at your destination. It is a personal organisation tool, not a travel agency. We don't book flights or hotels for you, we don't sell travel products, and we aren't responsible for your travel arrangements with third parties.
2 Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account
- One account per person; don't share credentials
- Provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date
- If you think your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at privacy@globetravi.com
3 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Forward other people's booking emails to the import address without their permission
- Use the Service to send spam, malware, or anything unlawful
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data from the Service
- Abuse the AI email parser with synthetic, adversarial, or prompt-injection content
- Interfere with other users or with the operation of the Service
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or any part of it
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
4 Booking import (how the AI parser works)
When you forward a booking confirmation to import@globetravi.com, we process the email with an AI service to extract structured details. Before we save anything to your trip, we mark the extraction as pending review so you can check and confirm it yourself.
The parser is not perfect. It can misread dates, prices, destinations, or confirmation codes. You are responsible for verifying every imported booking against your original confirmation. GlobeTravi is not a source of truth for your travel plans — the original booking confirmation is.
5 Shared albums
If you generate a shared album link for a trip, anyone with the link can view and upload photos to that album until you revoke the link. You're responsible for only sharing the link with people you trust, and for the photos you upload. Don't upload content that infringes copyright or privacy rights of others.
6 Subscriptions (GlobeTravi Pro)
- Paid subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Their terms and refund policies apply to the transaction
- We never see or store your payment details
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's App Store or Play Store settings
- Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable once the billing period has started
- If we change Pro pricing or reduce what's included in your tier, we'll notify you at least 30 days in advance and you can cancel before the change takes effect
7 EU consumer right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a Pro subscription within 14 days of the start of your first billing period, without giving a reason. To withdraw, cancel via your Apple ID or Google account settings within those 14 days.
By starting to use Pro features (importing more than 5 emails in a month, exceeding the photo limit, or otherwise consuming Pro entitlements) you expressly request that the digital service be provided immediately, and you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed during the 14-day period. This does not affect your other statutory rights as a consumer.
8 Your content
You own the content you put into GlobeTravi — trips, notes, photos, moments, captions. We don't claim ownership of any of it. You grant us a limited licence to store and display your content only as needed to operate the Service for you (and for anyone you intentionally share a trip album with). That licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
We do not use your content to train AI models, build advertising profiles, or share it with data brokers.
9 Service availability
We work hard to keep the Service running, but we can't guarantee it will always be available, bug-free, or that data won't be lost. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. For significant changes that affect how the Service works for you, we'll give reasonable notice.
10 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or €50, whichever is greater).
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — for example, missed flights or trips disrupted because an imported booking was incorrect. You remain responsible for verifying your travel arrangements with the actual provider.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
11 Termination
You can close your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. This deletes your data permanently and immediately.
We can suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if we're legally required to, or if we wind down the Service. If we terminate without cause, we'll let you export your data first.
12 Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. For material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email, and you'll have a chance to review before continuing to use the Service.
13 Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Luxembourg. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally goes before the competent courts of Luxembourg City.
If you're a consumer in the EU, this doesn't deprive you of rights you have under the mandatory law of your country of residence, including the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, though we prefer to resolve issues directly by email.
