Frequently asked questions

Why isn't my forwarded email being imported?

Make sure you're forwarding from the same email address you used to sign up to GlobeTravi. Emails sent from a different address won't be matched to your account.

Also check that the email is a genuine booking confirmation (not a newsletter or receipt summary) — our parser looks for structured booking data like dates, destinations, and reference numbers.

How long does email import take?

Usually under 30 seconds. If it's taking longer, check your Pending Bookings screen — the import may be waiting for your review. If nothing appears after 5 minutes, try forwarding again or contact us.

Can I edit a booking after importing?

Yes. Open the booking from your trip timeline, tap the edit icon in the top right, and update any field. Changes are saved immediately.

Who can see my shared photo album?

Anyone with the link can view and upload photos. The link is not publicly indexed — only people you share it with can access it. You can revoke the link at any time from Trip Settings, which immediately invalidates it.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → scroll to the bottom → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your trips, bookings, notes, expenses, and photos within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.

Alternatively, email privacy@globetravi.com and we'll handle it for you.

Does GlobeTravi work offline?

Your most recently viewed trips and bookings are cached and readable offline. However, importing bookings, Discover suggestions, and photo uploads require an internet connection.

What email providers work for booking import?

Any email provider works — Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Yahoo, and others. Simply forward the confirmation email to import@globetravi.com as you would any other email.

Is my data safe?

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Your trips and bookings are protected by row-level security — only your account can access your data. We don't sell data or use it for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
